Car accidents, even the smallest ones, can leave the most level-headed drivers flustered. In that moment it can be hard to remember that everything is going to be OK. But, bumpers can be replaced, paint reapplied and wheels realigned. From the fender bender to getting your car back to its original condition, our goal is to help make the process of getting back on the road again as painless as possible.
1. Document the Damage
First things first, before we can hand you a cup of coffee and get to work, there are certain things you need to do directly after the accident. By remembering these steps, you can put yourself on the path toward relief.
- Make sure you, or anyone else involved is not injured. If someone is hurt, call for an ambulance
- If possible, move to a safe area
- Call 911 and ask for a police report to be filed
- Tell the police you’d like your car towed to Ric’s Body and Paint via Ace Flatbed Towing
- Their Number is (602) 788-9454
- If you have a phone, take pictures
- Exchange information including:
- Insurance info
- License plate numbers
- Location of the accident
- Driver and passenger names
- Contact info for any eyewitnesses
- Makes and models of all vehicles involved
- The name and badge number of any responding police officers
- Call your insurance company to file a claim
Anyone who has been in an accident can tell you once you’ve called everyone, documented everything, filed your claim and made it home, the ordeal is still not over. You still need to navigate the confusing pathway of repair estimates, insurance claims, transportation arrangements, and making sure everything is done correctly. That’s where we step in. We’re here to walk you through every step, just like we would want to be treated.
2. Get An Estimate
Every insurance agency and smart consumer knows that the first thing you need is an estimate. At Ric’s we offer free estimates with no appointment necessary. We’ll take our time, examine your car thoroughly and give you a detailed explanation of what the repairs will cost. On top of that, we’ll send the estimate directly to your insurance company with photographic documentation and give you a hard copy for your records.
3. Receive Insurance Approval
We work with every major insurance provider and pride ourselves on having personal relationships with every insurance adjuster possible. Because of these relationships, we work directly with your insurance company to smooth out any issues about estimates, repairs, and timing, taking that stress off your plate.
4. Drop Off Your Car With Confidence
Dropping off your car doesn’t need to be a hassle. We’ll work with you to find the time that fits into your schedule. Business hours not convenient? We offer off-hours drop off, allowing you to drop your car off when you see fit. We also have the ability to arrange transportation for you. For drivers with rental car policies, we can arrange for the nearby rental car agencies to pick you up when you get here. For those without, we offer limited shuttle services to help get you back home safely.
5. Pick Up Your Car With a Smile
We make sure to keep you updated throughout the repair process. If something arises, we’ll contact your insurance company for you. Every repair we make is based on our founding principle that we treat you the way we’d want to be treated. No vehicle leaves our lot before we’re happy with it. When the repairs are completed to our rigorous standards, we give your car a thorough wash, let you check out every repair, shake your hand and watch you drive off the lot with a smile on your face.
